In just a couple of a week’s time, Bedale and Aiskew Runners will be hosting their second 48 Hour endurance event. Starting at 17:00hrs on Friday 19th April and finishing 17:00hrs Sunday 21st April, at least two members of the club will be running or walking the 5.1mile (8.2km) loop with an aim to complete over a thousand miles in the 48 Hour period.
Whilst the club members love the challenge, the main purpose of the event is to raise much needed funds for two North Yorkshire charities – Yorkshire Cancer Research and Swaledale Mountain Rescue.
Sponsorship has already reached over £1000 and generous support has been received from local businesses, but collectively, the club aims to raise £4000 or more from the event.
