On a hot humid Sunday, a small contingent of BAR athletes headed south for a flat as a pancake race in the Vale of York. A mini festival of athletes from across Yorkshire and the country met in a field on the out skirts on the little village of Wistow. Run on closed roads round scenic countryside both the Half Marathon and 10K routes weave in and out of each other, giving a fantastic opportunity to support each other. Both races had pacers for the PB hunters, although the humidity on the day made even the flat a little challenging.
Heading out first the Half Marathon athletes Victoria Maidwell 01.47.52 and Joanne Sinnott 02.44.01, followed by the 10K entries Darren Turner 00:44.52, Rab Hastie 00:49.30, and Louise Baker 00:59.43.
