Bedale and Aiskew Runner (BAR) were due to host Bedale car boot on Saturday 30th July. The car boot can swing one of 2 ways; in glorious sunshine you can have a bumper day and really boost your clubs fundraising. We all know how predictable the Great British weather is! This year was the short straw for BAR, early morning rain sadly saw the cancelation of the car boot and the fundraising opportunity washed away. Alongside fund raising for BAR the club had decided to support a local charity by the way of Hambleton Foodshare, it very much seemed the right thing to do in these challenging times to provide support for those who need a little bit of help. The support shone through from the club and it members to provide a haul of particularly key donations from the shortages list that were very gratefully received.
